Dr Hani Obeid has over 45 years experience as a designer and consultant directly involved in the preparation of proposals, quality assurance, quality control and ISO standards, project budgeting, training programs, planning, management and control of projects including overseeing all design activities of electromechanical systems starting from project design criteria, concept, and preparation of contract documents and auditing and value engineering.

He has intensive experience as a designer and consultant in the field of electrical systems and networks,
especially in the field of commercial, health care facilities, and industrial facilities.

He also holds technical background and experience in Architectural lighting and electrical acoustics for hotels, palaces, cinemas and theaters (including A/V systems with controllers and touch screens…etc.).

• Holds a Master’s degree (1974) and a PhD (1979) in Systems and Electrical Networks Engineering.
• Senior Member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and a founding member of the Jordanian branch.
• Member of the New York Academy of Sciences.
• Registered as an expert engineer with the Jordan Engineers Association and the Federation of Arab Engineers.
• Holds the rank of Professor in Power and Control Engineering.
• Served on the editorial board of “Computer and Communications,” the first Arabic journal in this field.
• Chaired the World Energy Conference organized by the Jordan Engineers Association in cooperation with the University of Jordan.
• Participated in various scientific and engineering committees of the Jordan Engineers Association.
• Member of the Electrical Consulting Engineers Society.
• Supervised Master’s and PhD theses at a Kazakh university.
• Was Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Power and Electrical Engineering (IJEPE) published by ACEEE.
• Published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.
• Developed several engineering codes for the Jordanian National Building Council.
• Authored eight engineering books in the field of electrical engineering and contributed to translating a three-part engineering book published by the Higher Council for Science and Technology.
• Participated in numerous scientific conferences in Jordan and abroad.
• Published dozens of articles on energy, environment, training, and engineering consultancy.
